Take on The Ridgeway. 7th and 8th of May.

Carrying a stretcher from Overton Hill across all 3 counties.

Each team, like every member team of Lowland Rescue is a charity, we rely on your support to put fuel in our vehicles, power our equipment, and fill up our boat engines, to print maps and briefing sheets for search teams, maintain, replace and repair equipment and insure our team.

Without these things, and your support we wouldn’t be able to continue to search for high risk missing people and support partner agencies in emergencies.

in 2021 with fundraising for charities becoming difficult Wiltshire Search and Rescue decided to fundraise by using relay teams to carry a rescue stretcher along The Ridgeway across their county. This year Sponsored Stretcher Carry is back, this time it doesn’t stop at the Oxfordshire Border.

Working together on the 7th and 8th of May 2022, the Lowland Rescue teams from Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Berkshire will carry the stretcher across all 3 counties along the ridgeway. Each member involved will carry the stretcher a minimum of 8km across varied terrain.
